Girls' Night

My dear friend Cassie is moving at the end of the month, so after the kids were tucked in bed Thursday night we spent the evening at Java Joes—eating ice cream, sipping smoothies, and having some quality girl time.

Five hotties, if you ask me. (Sorry, guys. We're taken.)
Erin Pitcher, Cassie Larsen, Nathalie Beeston, Amber Olsen, and Michelle Barrett

We were invited to join the swing dancing, but our better judgment got the best of us. Even if we look—and sometimes act—like we're 17, we are all married after all. Who knew the matronly look could be so cute!? ;)

Cassie,
Thank you for your friendship! All the play dates, walks, murder mystery dinners, and girls' nights with you have been the best! You are one of the most genuine, down-to-earth people I know, and it's always been so easy for me to talk to you. We moved here at the same time, and after three years, I have yet to hear you say an unkind word about anyone. (Seriously, do you have to put the rest of us to shame!?) You are always thinking about other people, and I love that about you. Thankfully, you will only be an hour and a half away, so you can't escape me completely, quite yet! I am already planning our outing to the apple orchard.

Oh, you're so sweet. Seriously that was a really nice, touching note. I'm so glad we've gotten to know each other these past 3 years. It's been so fun watching both of us turn from married couples to moms with kids! You've been so good to us with watching our kids tons of times and loaning us your apt, car, etc, etc. You are so thoughtful. I've enjoyed the walks and girls nights and everything so much! I'm glad we'll still be not too far away so we can still get together.
