Videos of Skylie with one of her buddies
"I want my daddy. I want my daddy. I want my daddy. Daddy. Daddy. Daddy..."
The previous day while walking with the kids to the car after hitting the gym I prompted Skylie to talk to a nearby goose.
Me: "Say 'See you later, Goose.'"
Her: "See you later, Goose!"
Me: "Say, 'Have a great day.'"
Her: "Have a great day!"
Me (highly amused at this): "Say 'I love you, Goose!'"
Her: "I love you, Goose!"
Me (checking if she'd parrot anything): "Say 'I love you, Mommy!'"
Her (disgruntled grunt then): "No MOMMY! The GOOSE!"
Sky really does love me, despite what she says! A few weeks ago on a daddy-daughter date to Wendy's Skylie announced to Matt, "I want to go on a mommy-daughter date."

A few weeks ago while feeding Kaitlyn, I heard some noise in the bathroom. This is what I saw when I came in! (I was supposed to be keeping an eye on my friend's children.)

(P.S. Sky's never made any of my jewelry. But I have made a few bracelets with her, which is where she's learned those phrases, I'm sure.)
Matt has a metal box on his nightstand where he keeps coins, a few rings, tie tacks, and pins. Skylie loves to sort through the box and ask what everything is. A few weeks ago we had this conversation:
Her (holding up a pin from Des Moines University): "What's that?"
Me: That's a pin from Daddy's medical school. Her: "I want to go to melcal school."
