This post is coming a month late, but better late than never, right? Here's our Christmas celebration in pictures and video.

We reenacted the nativity story. Here's some of the angels.
Christmas Morning At Home
We spent Christmas day opening presents, playing with the new toys, and watching movies. I always worry when picking out gifts for my kids. Will they like it? Will they get bored of it after a couple of days? It's been a month now, and I'd say this year I nailed it! (Santa did bring Skylie and Kaitlyn a tent that seemed too small, so Matt quickly talked to him and Santa sent a more spacious one pronto.)

Ten inches of snow fell on December 26, making it possible for Matt to have one more day home from work. Nice timing, Jack Frost. Thank you.
Christmastime is always so exciting to me. So many things to do, places to see, and activities to explore with the kids. I love the lights, the decorations, and the pure magic of the season. I try to keep life simple and not to put any pressure on myself to give obligatory gifts or treats or take on too many commitments. Despite my laid back approach to the season, it can still be exhausting at times. As excited as I was for Christmas to come, I'm also equally glad to have it over with for another ten months.
