I'm in love

with Thai food. Last Friday night Matt and I went to Cool Basil in celebration (or maybe mourning) that school's starting next week. It was heaven--definitely recommend it and the price is really reasonable! I don't know why I like Thai food so much, but I think Matt could talk me into eating out everyday if we went to Cool Basil. We tried the vegetable rolls, the cashew nut chicken, and something else (but I can't remember what it's called). We especially loved the rolls and cashew chicken.

Hello, isn't it amazing!! I'm so glad y'all liked it. Try the chicken fried rice next time, it sounds bland and boring until you take a bite, to me at least. And we got the egg/veggie rolls too, I needed about 20. If only my butt aggreed..haha.

I'm so glad you liked it! It's definitely my favorite Des Moines restaurant. I think we'll have to find a reason to celebrate together and go sometime!

Sounds so yummy! I'm totally impressed! You two seem to always find the yummy places to eat. We'll have to double date with you sometime this Fall and have you pick the resturant. :-)

You also must try Ban Thai, which is in the East Village downtown. It looks like a totally scary dive, but it's cute on the inside and SOOOOO Good. Also very reasonable.

I have only heard good things about that place. I keep telling Jacob we need to try it.

You have to get the Panang Curry! All it is chicken with red/green bell peppers and a creamy sweet sauce. It's very healthy but it's SOOOOOO GOOD!!!! It's would be like Alfredo sauce but thinner. Ask for the sweet sauce that is served with the crab wontons and put that on top of the panang curry. Trust me it's too die for. Get the crab wontons next time. They use real crab so they are really really really good!

It's cheap and it's good!

Make sure you ask for no spice though. There is some but it's really really really little.
