Erin it is SO fun to see Skylie on video - I can't believe how FAST she walks - it's too cute. And I love hearing your voice and being Skylie's momma. Really - what a lucky little girl she is to have you and Matt as parents. Hopefully you're getting interviews for residency programs you want to go to. Sounds like that shouldn't be a problem for y'all ;) Can't wait to hear what you choose & where you go!
PS I'm so impressed at how well you're handling Matt being gone so much. Not that I don't think you can do it, but I know how I am when Logan's been working 14 days straight, tons of 36 hour shifts, and I feel like a single parent. ANd that's me seeing him somewhat. I just know I am not a happy momma come 5 pm when bedtime is still 2+ hours away. You're amazing - and my hero for holding it all together in such a good, supportive attitude. I think I'll go eat a brownie for you ;)
Erin! Skylie is adorable and growing so fast. 4th year is tough, but it sounds like you and Skylie and Matt are making to most of it. I get homesick for my little apartment at 4222 Grand when I see your videos. I miss Iowa dearly and all my friends. It is so good to check up on you through the blog. Good luck with the rest of the year and with interviews.
"You have nothing in this world more precious than your children. When you grow old...nothing will be so important as the question of how your children have turned out ... Do not trade your birthright as a mother for some bauble of passing value ... The baby you hold in your arms will grow as quickly as the sunrise and the sunset of the rushing days."

"Do the best you can through these years, but whatever else you do, cherish that role that is so uniquely yours and for which heaven itself sends angels to watch over you and your little ones....
"You can’t possibly do this alone, but you do have help. The Master of Heaven and Earth is there to bless you. Yours is the work of salvation, and therefore you will be magnified, compensated, made more than you are and better than you have ever been as you try to make honest effort, however feeble you may sometimes feel that to be."
