Camping

On September 19 Matt and I went on a ward campout to Bear Creek Camp. The camping spot is church-owned and is only about 45 minutes from Des Moines. It was great to get away—and it almost seemed like we were in the mountains. I love Iowa, but I definitely miss the mountains!

The campout was a blast. Here are a few pictures.
At one point during the evening I was talking with friends and had lost track of Matt. The next thing I knew around 10 kids were screaming and running all over the place. (I mean they were climbing over and under tables.) And of course, they were all chasing after Matt. I didn't get any pictures of that, but here's a few pictures of the die-hards attacking Matt. (The fun lasted until one of the kids fell and hit the cement. Oops.) I've decided there's no hope that I'll get to be the fun parent. :)
