PURPLE

OR
FLORAL?
The top two are my favorite so far, but the bottom one is much cheaper. Where are some good places to look for new or used baby stuff?

I say purple!
With your beautiful black crib, I'd go with the pink. Lurk on the Pottery Barn kids website & in the store - stuff goes on super sale all the time (I was in the store last week & saw the cutest crib bumper for $25!).
I couldn't decide until Amy's comment reminded me of you black crib. I say pink too! I also agree with Amy on watching Pottery Barn. You can get some amazing deals but you have to visit frequently. I seem to always find the better deals in store.
Oh, and yes I did get my new computer. Is it that obvious.
I have to say even with the black crib the purple one speaks to me.
I say floral! I think it would look so cute with the black crib.
They are all very cute! But my opinion is to not spend money on a complete set. I bought the whole set with Nora and never used the quilt (SIDS risk).
I also took the bumper pads off when Aron was very small because he had figured out how to get under them. So for Aron I just have cute sheets and a cute bed skirt and it saved tons of money and look fine. Maybe not Pottery Barn fine but really just fine. Just my opinion!
I love the Pink with your black crib!...and I hung the quilt on the wall for both of my babies and I love bumper pads. chase always seems to get his leg stuck in the bars if his bumper pads arent on. so and I would look at walmart and target and babies'r'us clearance and also these conginment shops such as "kidding around", "Once Upon a Child" and "mommy'n'me to be" you can find there locations in the phone book!
I would have to agree with your friend Hilery. I am a purple person so i did purple with my first and pink and brown with my second and those colors were for the quilts my mom made. I use a cream colored bumper pad and white sheets, that way I can use it for a boy or girl. Some people love getting sets though so its totally up to you. I think they are all darling sets!!
I can't decide between the pink and floral. They're both pretty!
Sorry - Comment, part II. With #1 I bought the whole set & used the quilt just as a wall hanging. If I had to do it all again, I'd go with a couple of cute sheets (and yes, PBK is my favorite), a crib skirt that matches both, and make a little quilt to use as a wall hanging (using a crib sheet for quilting material so that the whole look is cohesive). The bumper is cute, but I'd probably do without it. PS - I needed at least 3 crib sheets & 2 changing pad covers; lots of 'leaks' in our house!
I like the pink one!! It does get expensive and start to add up. I don't know where you're looking but target has cute chickadee bedding that is to die for and craigslist/garage sales are always good finds!!
Good Luck!
I usually vote purple but I like the floral. I got Cambri's bedding from PB and it was 60% off. I got it in the store. So fun.
Close call between pink and purple, however, I love the green and pink together so I vote pink. Isn't it fun to start picking stuff out and decorating?
I think I might be neutral.. but they do have a point about the pink and black.. Along with any sales or used places you may find, a lot of stores will match online prices (after shipping), so that's one way to go.. That's what we did and saved like $30-$40 dollars. As you know we did the whole set.. Didn't start using the quilt until about 2 or 3 months ago, but we do now, and hopefully that delay will help it last longer.. Who knows, though.. :D
I love the purple one and I also agree with Hilery and Amy (and others) Sometimes you don't always use all of the set at first, we hardly ever used the bumper pads, especially when they start rolling and can get up against them, and newborns realistically don't need a quilt to cover them up with all the time.(I think some of that is just for show) I have been told over and over to have them sleep in a cooler room than a hot room.? ask your peditr. doc.
Anyway, good luck and have fun decorating!!!!
I'm all about pink. Can't get enough of it.
There is a 2nd hand store by Mariah's ballet that always has the cutest bedding set. If you're interested, I'll give you more info. about it..
I pick pink.
Oh my goodness, I'm looking at the same purple one! I absolutely LOVE it, and Mark is insisting that I don't do all pink in the nursery. I've been looking at Target for baby bedding. I can't believe how expensive crib bedding can be!
I haven't ever used a full crib set....with savannah i only used the cute sheets...with porter i bought the set but have yet to use the quilt and the bumper pads came off within a week cause it got it the way (i pretty much wasted my money)....i say just buy a few cute sheets to change out (you'll have to change them believe me!) Good Luck!
I am such a loser! I didn't know you were preggo!! Yay for you! And you're having a girl??? So much fun! I'm a big fan of the floral pattern, for sure.
Hey Erin! The floral bedding is what we bought for Hallie and I love it. It looks a lot better with dark wood. Anyway, if you end up going with that one, we bought extra crib sheets because they were so cheap and we haven't used two of the sets yet, so I can give you one if you'd like. We also bought the pillow sham and haven't used it, if you want that too!
They're all cute, but I like the purple one the best. Good luck in deciding.
