Thursday, August 25:
Matt worked during the day and also on an overnight shift, so Skylie and I stayed close to the motel since he had the car. Rain trapped us indoors for the most part, but a maintenance worker commented that he'd seen our family and we looked like the only normal people who stayed in the place. I'm not sure if that's a compliment to us or a reflection of the motel's lowly living standards.
Friday, August 26:
- Our drive home! We loved our time in Texas, but our two bedroom apartment sounded like a luxury after our close quarters at the motel.
I couldn't resist catching a picture of this:
Oops. It woke her up, but she sure is cute—bed head and all.
