What we did:

We (meaning Erin) painted and added a few decorations to the walls. Everything else we had from when Skylie was a babe.

Where it all came from:

• Our neighbors in Iowa practically gave us this crib--in perfect condition. (Thanks, Jenny!)
• We bought the glider on Craigslist when we were expecting Skylie. It was in much better condition when we purchased it. The pen marking is the artwork of a two-year-old I know.
• The dresser is a hand me down from my parents we got when Matt and I married. The broken gold knobs were driving me crazy, so I replaced them with ones I found at Home Depot.
  
• Sheets are Penelope from Pottery Barn Kids. When I was expecting Skylie a few friends told me not to worry about getting an entire crib bedding set (sheets, bumpers, quilt, etc.). I followed their advice and have never regretted it.
• My mom made the quilt.
  
• Totes under the crib are from Babies R Us.
• Paint colors: Benjamin Moore Ribbon Pink color matched at Home Depot with Behr; Stripes are Benjamin Moore Elephant Pink color matched at Home Depot with Behr
• Aside from the flower holder from my sister-in-law, Ginny, I got all the wall decor at the Christmas Tree Shops for $45. I'm absolutely loving that store these days! My favorite piece is the bird, which brings in the subtle bird motif from the sheets. The bird is tons cuter/less cheesy than anything I found on Pinterest or Etsy.

• I did find this modern typography art on Pinterest and made my own version for Kaitlyn which is hanging above the crib.

I love how Kaitlyn's room turned out! It's by far my favorite space in the the house.
