Way back in August...
The kids and I flew home from Utah late the night before Skylie's birthday. Some may have liked a lazy day to recoup and unpack. But birthdays only come once a year, and this little lady had been anticipating her big day for months! We kept the day low-key, but tried to make it special for Sky.
First we girls headed to the Children's Museum to meet up with her cousin, Meg. Sky loves Meg, and the two get along like champs.
Check out Skylie's big eyes. She's started doing that for pictures, and it cracks me up.
We later opened presents with Daddy. These dress ups have been worn almost daily during the past two months.

Sky's other three-year-old buddy, Peach, did make an appearance at the party but snoozed in the stroller most of the night.

Sky seemed a bit off the entire day, and I wondered if all our travels had worn her out. That may have partially been the case, but the following day a fever hit and she became ill. Poor birthday girl.
Happy birthday, Kiddo. We love you!

Today I'm thankful that all the girls in this house got a good nap in today. Skylie and Kaitlyn gave me a run for my money this morning--both awake for the day at about 5 a.m.. Sleep deprived children and mamas are never a good mix, you know. But afternoon naps worked wonders for us all.
