Matt and I were dating. I spend eight weeks in Hawaii for school. Matt sold pest control in Texas all summer long. We spent a lot of time talking on the phone. I finished up in Hawaii in June and flew home for a few days before going to Chicago.
I arrived in Utah early in the morning. That afternoon my mom said we needed to pick up my brother at the airport and that I needed to drive another car so my brother could take one on his trip.
At the airport, instead of seeing my brother, MATT ARRIVED!
At first sight
He stayed for a few days. I loved it! It was the best surprise.
During this time we:
- Ate out at Olive Garden and walked around Salt Lake
- Hiked Bridal Veil Falls and trails around St. George
- Attended the Manti Temple Pageant
- Went Swimming
- Practiced taking wedding pictures outside the St. George Temple (we weren't engaged yet)
- And I told Matt I was 99% sure I wanted to marry him (at the beginning of summer it was 50/50 for me whether we'd even be dating at the end of summer).

Oh how I miss you guys and those good old days! That is so sweet that Matt surprised you! You guys are so cute!
I love these little stories. I was like that with Nick the summer before we got engaged... 50/50 at the beginning, but 99% sure by the end. :-) You two are so cute!
I love following the trail you took to become the Cutest Couple on Block.
I totally remember that! I even knew about it before it happened! (courtesy of your mom :D) I feel very honored to have been able to know about the whole thing with you and Matt from the beginning when you met him to the day you got married. And about Battle of the Dance, I will make sure someone films it so I can post it on my blog. :)
I love your romantic moments especially that one because I remember it! You are such a great couple and example to the rest of us!
